Rotary Club of Entebbe

Today November 26, 2023 we are proud to announce the revealing of our new medical facility staff quarters in Nakitoko- Luweero District, Uganda thanks to the supporters of the Rotaract Club of Entebbe. This new facility is in the heart of the village of Luweero that will bring medical aid to a remote part of central Uganda.


 

Ganta,Boapea, Liberia

In November 2023 a mission team from the United State served time working with Hope in The Harvest Ministries at the International Christian College located in Ganta, Liberia. The team brought many giftings to the region, Teaching, Mechanical work, Agriculture Science, Business relations. I spent much of his time working on plumbing for the Agriculture Research Center. I begin with arran replacing a new pump giving adequate pressure to the system in the ARC. Then chased leaks for two weeks all over the place toilets, sinks, irrigation system. The PVC pipe in Liberia is not to the standards we are blessed with in America. The next project was green from the start. The greenhouse manager moved departments leaving the grounds to the elements . Eman and I cleaned, moved, piped and more getting ready for spring seedlings. Bill, Kohna, Michael, and myself left for the village of Boapea 1.5 hour drive for the Farming Gods Way seminar we taught. Both villages learned of the gospel and the life of Jesus through agriculture build the soul and soil up to a high standard. Tara Woods a special education teaching Frankfort, Indiana. Spent her time amongst two Inland Church Schools catering to 700+ students. Tarra observing grades 3-6 And brought new school curriculum for the teachers to implement into practice. Tarra also taught students hands on mathematics, reading, and crafts. Jenna spent her time learning from Peter LICC new science teacher. Jenna shared her knowledge of soil erosion, leves, and how they differ from the soil in the USA. Jenna also worked on vaccinating the animals keeping in check any disease that come up. Steven and Gary were the mechanics for the weeks. The guys built a two tank sediment filter and moisture filter for the diesel fuel. eliminating unrefined fuel and contaminants.


Ganta, Liberia

In 2019 First Evangelical Presbyterian Church located in Frankfort, Indiana joined churches from neighboring states in Ohio, Illinois, and Oklahoma. Continuing the on going missions with Hope in the Harvest Ministries. Our teams focus was to conduct a three day vision clinic in the villages of Flumpa, Saclopea, and Ganta. During our three day clinic we ministered to over 350 individuals spiritual and mentally. During this time we were able to handout over 250 pairs of optics bettering the vision of many individuals living in these remote areas. Our team also worked with the Agriculture Research Center (ARC). With projects in plumbing, science labs, habitat cleaning, solar panel projects, land cultivation, chocolate making, and many more. Each person on our mission team utilize the gifts and skills that have been given to them on the multitude of projects that were available. Entebbe, Uganda

In 2018 I had the privilege working with Calvary Chapel Ministries in Entebbe Uganda during the sixth month our team spent in the field. We worked closely with the Kids of the Calvary Chapel school teaching English and Math to the baby class to P5 Class. Each week consisted of Bible lessons worship and activities being taught in the surrounding villages of Uganda. This was an amazing season of spiritual growth in the Lord each person has a unique gift from the Lord our team saw this first hand in the love and care for the kids of Uganda. During this season of my life I had the opportunity to work with Hope for the Restoration Island Missions. jumping in with the Red Cross testing for Malaria, HIV, Hep A&B, and sensitizing the culture on type on and two Diabetes and Nutritional Value for better management of Diabetes in this region.
